Show off your stuff at Thailand’s hottest beach clubs

Certain elements make a great beach club: a cool, yet aloof, DJ spinning eclectic house music, a gorgeous beachfront view, a pool for partying, ample room for poolside dancing and lounging, and of course, beautiful people.

Recently Thailand’s island beaches have been upgraded with venues that finally fit the bill. Here’s our roundup of island beach clubs you won’t want to miss.

Zazada Beach Club

Zazada Beach Club, Surin Beach, Phuket

On beautiful Surin Beach you’ll find a number of gorgeous beach clubs right on the sand. We love the laid back Aussie vibes at Zazada Beach Club. There’s a yummy Bondi style BBQ every Friday and a chill atmosphere every day of the week. But as the sun sets the DJ gets everyone dancing in true beach club fashion – in bikinis by the pool.

Catch Beach Club

Catch Beach Club, Surin Beach, Phuket

This club has a great atmosphere and lounge-worthy beach beds you’ll want to take home with you. The sunset over Surin is breathtaking, and you’ll have your own space to enjoy it. With a semi-private beach and a wide expanse of sand you’ll want to sip cocktails here all day.

Bimi Beach Club

Bimi Beach Club, Surin Beach, Phuket

Right next door to Catch, under the same ownership, is Bimi.  The crowd is a mix of locals, expats and tourists with hi-so itineraries. The chill vibes and music make this venue a great place to meet people. When the sun goes down, the crowd gets going, drinking and dancing all night.

Nikki Beach

Nikki Beach, Lipa Noi, Koh Samui

Samui was the first Thai island to be the site of a world-class beach club. Rightfully so: this island is filled with upscale villas, boutique hotels and white sand beaches. Nikki Beach, the world renowned beach club, set up shop here in 1998, in the midst of the gorgeous Lipa Noi beach. Nikki Beach boldly claims to be the “sexiest place on earth” but this claim is definitely backed up by the bikini and board short-clad crowd.

Beach Republic

Beach Republic, Lamai, Samui

This beach club on Samui’s beautiful Lamai beach is truly luxurious.  Stay here (it’s also a hotel) or just come for a day of pool partying and beach lounging. There’s also a branch of the Bangkok-based Whisgars Whiskey & Cigars, if you’re craving a Cuban with your champagne.

Ark Bar

Ark Bar, Chaweng, Koh Samui

Ark Bar has made its mark on Samui’s lively Chaweng beach. The emphasis at this massive beachside club is on music, dancing and non-stop fun vibes. The venue features a 2 story DJ booth overlooking the pool and the ocean, and a great sound and light system. Stay at this beach club/resort on a night with live music and fire shows for a real Thai island experience.
